Well, that makes 2 sets of those I've seen. Unless, that's the same Bronco the first set was on. I really remember much about that one, since it was fresh off the delivery truck.......
I worked at a dealership in Tulsa back in the mid 80's. We sold exactly 1 Bronco that had those on it. No pickups, just the 1 Bronco.
No, they aren't rare. They're almost mythical.
I've seen more CB radios and factory fog lights than I have power mirrors. Even if they don't work, I would still grab them before they're crushed. Somebody out there wants these, and can restore them. Great find!
Very cool. I like reading about these rare options. These are so much an after thought it's not even funny. I love how the wiring goes right through the door! Maybe there can be a thread about all the options? Or at least the oddball ones...
From the literature I have(Ford shop manuals,) the power mirrors were a dealer installed option, shipped uninstalled with the truck/bronco from the factory.
As already stated, they are more myth than rare.
There was a thread in the 70s trucks about rare options like lighted vanity mirrors and rear window defrosters. Heck, compared to those, cb's are on every other truck on the road.

This is true, however the factory CB option was completely different than the traditional CB because the box was always hidden out of view, and all that could be seen was the Microphone. You controlled all the functions of the CB with that microphone. The CB equipped trucks also came with a special two way antenna that worked both for the radio and for the CB itself. If I recall correctly the CB wasn't even listed in the brochures after 1980, possibly meaning they weren't offered after 1980. I believe I have heard that the microphones have a few small differences between the 73-79 trucks and the 1980 trucks, and if that's true, that makes the CB option ever more rare if it's a 1980 CB set. I think I've seen maybe 4 1980 trucks with them in pics across the internet. They seem to be more common in the dent sides, however even in those trucks they're rare.
