Random wires?
just recently bought a 2005 f250 xlt and i found four wires (black, blue, red, yellow) that come out of the wiring harness in the engine compartment by the fuse box. anyone have any idea as to what they go to

Sounds like the pass thru wires. Do you have the same 4 on the other side of the firewall behind the brake pedal or parking brake assembly? If so, they're there for your convenience, so you don't have to run wires through the firewall, just tap into those.
