not starting
i've got a '93 f-150, 5.0 with a push-button start on my alarm. went out this morning, and nothing - when i turned the key, i heard the starter engaging, all the lights work, radio, everything (so i would think the battery should be ok, right?). when i turn the key to start the engine, there is nothing - the crank isn't even trying to turn over, no clicks, no nothing!!
any ideas?!! i haven't had time to troubleshoot yet - i'll make sure i've got at least 12V on the battery, relay, and down to the starter. i'll then check any loose cables, check the starter, check the relay.....am i on the right track? any help would be appreciated. thanks!!

are you talking about in the automatic push-button start? if so, it came with the truck when i bought it, so i don't know how it's wired, configured, or located. any hints as to checking it?

The nuetral safety switch should be on the tranny, I think. It won't allow power to go to the starter solenoid unless it is closed.
I really don't know that much about where they are located, etc.
It was just an idea. If everything else works, that would be my suggestion.
If you can pull the codes, that will help also.
You are right to check the power sources first. It might be the solenoid, but just trying to give another thing to check.
