ABS Sensor and Inner Axle Seals

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and hope I can learn much from it. I have some oil leaking out of my axle shafts, and in the process of replacing the seals. 2002 Excursion with the V10. I've already pulled the hubs and seals. I think the Ball Joints are ok. I've already done a lot of reading thru out this forum and have found a lot of good information. However, the two things I haven't found, are recommendations for removing broke off ABS sensors and replacing the inner axle seals, next to the differential. How hard is it to pull the differential and replace those seals? Any step by step instructions for that? Also, I've seen some mention of replacing the bearing/hubs if the spindle bearing is dry. However, if it looks ok, and everything was sounding and working fine before, can one just pack grease in it, and move on? Thanks.
