Auto Transmission Help

My 1999 F350 SD 7.3L auto transmission is dead, I have a chance to buy a rebuilt but need to determine if 4R100 serial # RFF81P-7006-AA-02 will fit. Help as my time is running out to make this deal. It is Lariat 4x2

if the number is F81P-7000-AA it is off a 99 f250/f350 with a 5.4.that is too light for a diesel.and am not sure if it would fit the 7.3 block.would need more numbers off the tag on the trans to be sure what it is.

Serial number to look for that can be used on 7.3L

Thanks for the heads up about the tranny, won't spend my money on that transmission. What numbers should I be looking for on the casing that will match up for a 7.3L.

there is a tag on the left rear of the case.that is the numbers a person needs.even if it is a rebuild,you will know what the case came from.i need to know if it is 2or4wd and if it has a pto to get you some numbers.you could also look at the old trans and try match numbers off of it if the tag is still readable
