Talking New guy/owner

Whats up guys i am a new member/owner of a awsome 1974 f250 supercab 2wd with a 3904bbl. I want to gain knowledge on these trucks and i think i came to the right place. i paid $900 for her and she runs great. The few problems i have is the rear tailshaft seal leaks a lil and i have no working wipers or dash lights. I would also like to know how to swap over to a 78 grill to my 74. Any help on this would be great. Thanks..

Welcome. I might as well say as someone else will anyway, WE NEED PICTURES!

The dash lights and wipers are imposable to diagnose properly without seeing but for the dash lights start with the bulbs. The cluster can be a bit tough o get out but do a search and you will find some good posts on how to disconnect the speedo cable.

For the grill it's not hard. You need to get the entire grill and it will bolt right in IF you stay with the round headlights. It's not cheap though, unless you can find a good grill at a pick a part or something. Also with the grill shell most of the aftermarket stuff is super thin so if you can it's better to stay with a genuine ford grill.

If You go to square headlights then it get a bit tougher but still not bad. You need to change the headlight buckets.

Again welcome to the forums. I you were looking for a place with some of the most knowledgeable ford people on the planet you came to the right place.

I was wondering where you were located because I have a 78 and want to switch the front to the 74 front grill. But if your to far away I don't want to make a pain of shipping it.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase! If the truck has been sitting for a while, things begin to corrode and stop working. Start with fuses on your wiring problems and go from there. If the wiring is intact, check the headlight switch. I have a 73 f100 that had headlights, but no dash or dome light and it turned out to be the switch.
