Scanner/CB Install in 2011 F150 XLT
Thought to share some pics of the install I completed in my new -11, F150 XLT SuperCrew.
Installed Uniden CB (all in one unit with controls on Mic) Above picture on the middle left. And 2 GPS enabled scanners. One scanner is mounted vertical on the bulkhean just below the cubby/"Sync/Line In" ports area. The other is hidden below the center seating area in that storage space and securley mounted with a custom bracket along with the guts of the Uniden CB. The second scanner you see is a remote head mounted on the center console in on the front seat.
The antennas are mounted on a bed installed gull wing design diamond plate tool box. CB Antenna in in the middle while there is a scanner antenna on either side. (Reception is great for all units)

I am running 2 scanners, one dedicated for 800Mhz for the older agencies (mine) and others while the other unit is dedicated to the Marks Systems bands (aka- Trunking) for the newer digital systems. Both are gps enabled so I scan based on a predetermined area I am in that is set on the units.
* the two mini GPS recievers are located in the corner of the windshield, very tiny and fastend down to the dash- one left side, one right-
A nice install, pretty easy- just time consuming running every wire under carpet or hidden behind panels.
Love to see other folks installs of their radio/scanner set ups-
Dave
