I have a '92 F-250 4x4 and I want to put as big of tire on it as possible without lifting the truck. I am more concerend for clearance on the front than I am for the rear. My local tire shop said he saw long ago an aftermarket bumper bracket that would slightly push the front bumper out to clear bigger tires. Has anyone seen such an item and could you tell me how to find it? Thanks
I don't remember seeing that before. I do know that if you have a ranch hand or similar grill guard the brackets that go on behind the bumper will move the bumper forward about an inch. You could fab your own brackets for this. Really all it is is a spacer.
See my gallery. All I did was add 1" spacer blocks to the 4 bolts ont the front bumper, and now I run 35" BFG's. I think that is the limit without a lift.
