2005 Expedition, driver seat goes crazy on memory setting 1

When we were on vacation this summer I pushed the seat memory button #1, for my setting. The seat went crazy, it started from my wifes position, moved to my position and just keeps moving from one position to the other, even when you have it in drive. Pushing #2 it works like it's supposed to, so the problem is just with #1 button.

Anyone else have this problem? And can tell me what I need to do I'd appreciate it. I figure there's a module somewhere that's bad but don't really know where to look.

Thanks,
Delos

Did you try having your wife put everything back to where she wants it and then setting #1 again? It might just be a glitch in the stored data.

Yes tried resetting it. Matter If fact more than once. Wonder if I unhook battery for a while if that would allow it to loose it's memory and then reset it?

In the meantime, pressing buttons 1&2 at the same time will actually allow you to store and retrieve as a 3rd button. This might not solve the problem with program #1, but at least by pressing both buttons she won't have to manually set everything back each time.
