So I took apart my front end to put in some Yukon axle shafts and my outer bearing race just fell out of the hub its 6 months old and not tore up looks fine but still doesn't seem good
Anyways, it needs to fit in there snug, if its not, it will cause you a headache.
The only fix for it is to use something like bearing set, which I have not seen any of in a long time, or to buy a new hub.
I had to do this (both) on my f150. luckily the guy's place I worked on it at had bearing set.
It works like loctite, but resists different style forces.
It lasted a few months till I had the money to replace the hub properly.
If the cup has no damage on it, the seat for it is probably spun out in the hub.
I would not get a whole new hub unless the new race does not fit in there snug. Just get a gearing. it should come with a new race.
Tap it in there and pack the new bearing re-install.
I can't remember the price I would say around $20 -$25 ???
Nah. Hubs, rotors, brake calipers, spindle locknuts, and lockouts are the same for the 50 and 60. The brake components are limited by the years, but everything else is interchangeable from '85-'97.
