I'm looking in to ordering a 2012 F350 and noticed the mud flaps on the order form. I vowed that my next truck would have them from the beginning to avoid the paint chips that my last truck had.
Anyway, I'll most likely take delivery in late December. I was wondering if these mud flaps are decent for the money? I've seen posts about Weathertech and Husky, and I'll probably go that route if the consensus is that the Ford ones aren't great.
I can't comment on the current 2012 mud flaps. When I bought my new 04' back in 04' the first accessory I got for my new truck was a 4pc. set of Fords molded mud flaps at the dealer and put them on myself. Here I am 7 years later and still have them on my truck and they still look good. They are worth it IMO, if I'd be ordering a new truck I would get the mud flaps from the factory.
Mud flaps will rub on the paint slightly. You may want to purchase them separately and use some clear bra or other vinyl to put on the paint where the mud flap will go.
The Ford flaps fit nicely, at least on the vehicles I have installed them on. They are reasonably priced as well.
