Thanks. Somebody else says " Foot Feet ". My grandad got me started. I will show this to my brother and son. They said no body else says that.

I have a 1500 watt block heater. When it does get really cold here, I'll throw it on a timer for 4 hours before I leave for work. By the time I get my truck loaded up for work, the windshield starts to defrost and the valve cover is very warm to the touch. I left it plugged in all night once, it snowed about 4 inches, the windshield was half clear by the time I woke up. Definitely easier starting, and a warmer engine is usually more efficient than a cold soaked one.

Well I have definately decided that when it's cold outside I'm using the block heater. Not because it helps the truck start easier or helps the oil pressure come up quicker, although those are good things, but mainly cause it causes instant heat which warms me up quicker and that makes me happy! LOL
