hard starting
When i first got my truck it would only turn over once or twice and then it would start but ever since i put a new fuel filter in it cranks like 10-15 times before it will start sometimes even more whats up with that?

well if it runs ok it prob has nothing to do with the fuel filter you installed. it could be one of many things. distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, timing, air leaks, build-up of oil in the intake, and the list goes on......
but like i said before, if it idles ok and runs down the road ok i cant see the fuel system causing the problem.

hard starting
get you a fuel pressure tester, hook it up and roll the engine over a couple of times without it starting. your fuel system should build up pressure and keep it up. if it doesn't, check the fuel filter for proper installation, and check the fuel pressure regulator. if perssure comes up on the fuel system and stays up with the key still in the on position after rolling the engine over, then you'll know that your fuel system is top notch.
