I just bought a very nice running 240. It came out of a '66 Econoline.
I have it on my engine stand so i can give it a good cleaning, not that is needs much, and painting. Question is, I found a small brass plate on the block above the timing cover, it has this stamped on it
RC 26
80193. Any idea what it means?
Thanks,
Brian
Boy if it is a date code, imagine someone rebuilt the engine in a 66 econoline in '93.
The guy I got the engine from has a nice '65 panel van that he's selling. Hmmm
