Ok I know FE inside and out and most of the tricks to them in any form but I was never told what FE means I just thought of it and it kinda bothers me. Can any one tell me? thank you.
Your question wasn't dumb but has been asked more times than any other. Most agree that it stands for ford-edsel. Ford often refered to them as ford-edsel. Others include:
Ford Engine
Fe=iron on the periodic table
Fairlane Engine
The list goes on but like I said Ford edsel is where most people stand.
I tend to lean toward either Ford-Edsel, or the periodic symbol for iron. The later because when i first started delving into the FE world I was told they wiegh a ton. Well we all know that after removing the iron intake and installing an Aluminum intake they really lose some weight. Anyway that is my mind set.
