My 2000 F250 V10 108k miles 4r100 has a hard shifting issue only from 2 to 3rd gear. I installed the 5 Star Tune on it last weekend and I can feel it more. Just to clear things up I love the 5 Star tune and it did not cause the hard shifting it just made it more noticeable. It was shifting hard for about a year before installing it.

When I get my foot into the pedal it will will shift so hard the fan belt will squeal and it feels like the bed flew off the truck. My OD light is not flashing either. The fluid looks good but I plan on doing a filter change this weekend anyways. Any ideas on what could cause this or what to look for?

 

Anyone? I have done a forum search and it seems like no one knows too much about these transmissions.

 

One of the moderators, Krewat, mentioned that transmission over in the 6.2L forum under the transmission shifting problems. Maybe he can chime in on this since he said he has heard of this type of issue when it was cold.
