hard shifting E40D...
Any ideas about why an E40D that was rebuilt 200 miles ago would shift really hard into second gear,less hard into 3rd, then almost normal into 4th. It gets less noticeable after the truck is warmed up and has been driven for at least 10 min. The truck also shifts into gear from park REALLY hard when cold and less so when warm. The fluid looks good and doesn't smell unusual. The tranny was completely rebuilt with every upgrade that Ford had available for the E40D. A mechanic told me that it needs a "tune-up" does that sound right?Thanks for any tips or info.
