that looks great... saw some of those at Crusin the coast last weekend... but only SBC and pricy ??? man ! think they were cast Platinum !!!
Your engine color is great... I'm trying to come up with a color... frame is dark gray metallic and truck will be chrome yellow... Blue kinda clashes but I sure don't want a yellow block... got to find a complimentary color for the gray/yellow...

I buy all my engine enamels from Aervoe...I found them after poking around a few of the local engine builders shops and seeing what they used on their new builds. This paint dries with a high gloss (assuming you're not using satin or matte paint) and is extemely durable. well, they are in Quebec right now... but they have a SOLD tag on them... waiting to see how bad the shipping is gonna rip me... could not find a set in the states... and only emailed this guy on a guess... lucky me... off to order the air cleaner... other than color... my engine is gonna resemble yours... without the shiny pulleys and serpentine belts and all that other bling

but.. now thinking and looking.. those are NOT the correct cover..
that looks like 302/351.. the 460 does NOT have that top bolt guide.. and they are 3 bolt on the bottom
the 460 has 4 bolts on the bottom, 2 on the top, and the ends are square..
here is mine..

you're right.. hopefully it was a generic picture... I've asked him specifically if they are for a 460... so I'm waiting on his reply.../

there is a brown truck headed this way..... actually two... one with valve covers and one with air cleaner/breathers
Sam, I did question him again and he said he had both styles of covers and was sorry for the mix up in pictures... I verified that he was sending the BB covers...
I'm gonna go stand by the drive way and wait on him
engine man says poly locks came in yesterday and he will finish up the top end... so he's basically waiting on me and valve covers...
my list is getting shorter... still need starter, alternator, and little pretty stuff...
anybody recommend one starter over another... hi-torque starter needed or not ??

I did this starter from summit, Summit Racing SUM-820048 - Summit Racing® Protorque Starters - Overview - SummitRacing.com, got a deal at only $85. adjustable rotation position. to get the solenoid away from the headers.
I'd put old valve covers on til the very last minute.. avoid scratches.. I bought some cheapos.. $20 to cover while loading the engine and all the drive bay work.
