wow i just got my header installed with true duals and flowmaster 40 series mufflers with 24 inch 2.5 in 4" out and it sounds great, on my way back to town from the exhaust shop i manage to accidentally be doing about 85 with a semi coming at me and two cars behind me approaching a bridge, out here in kansas its just about turkey season, and yes i got me a 23 lb tom with a 9 inch beard on it as well as the hen, ive always wanted to put a newer style front on my truck, its a 1990 ford 4x4 f-150 xlt lariat, now i have the chance. any1 know of a good starting point for this project? or should i leave it alone and just put in new headlight and parklamps and grille and get the dent out of the hood, upon my insurance quote they quote me at about 1000 dollars worth of damage, please give me your opinion and if any1 has a truck that i could part out from them lemme know - thanks

I would goto a local scrap yard, or look around on the net for dimensions of the front clips on the newer trucks. If the width and height is the same, it wont be a problem. Recently put a Cadiallac Escalade clip on a Early 90's chevy P/u. Also look to see how the headlamps are mounted. That will probably be your biggest issue, of course you could always change the radiator support to something newer if the dimensions match up =)
