your pic didn't work could you try to repost the pic so I can see it.
Yeah, 1 of the few pic I took @ the 6th annual BYOB (bring yer own Bronco). I guess I can't get it offa my desk top. Do U need a web pic hosting site to post here? Never tried B 4, but this rig is a beaut.
Take that FSB/goosenecked Trailer queen EB to the events. Extractions, welding, wrenchin. Might B a different way to get by...
well I would basically need everything for the bronco since I can't find one that's in my price range to buy from somebody. I can get the fenders from lmc for a pretty good price but its just the floor pans, the front grill, and the tail gate that would kill the project for me. but I will keep looking around the net and see hat i can find.
No need to buy new parts, there are still originals in good shape to be had. They're cheaper than new, usually thicker metal, & they actually fit. Lots of problems with aftermarket parts & fitment, especially fenders & tail light housings. Unless you want to build a trailer queen show truck, used parts are the way to go (actually, lots of the show trucks have original parts too, but restored ).
where are some places that I can look for some used parts besides ebay. I will probably build the frame myself as I have the dimensions and a welder. but I will just need the other stuff. also would a early bronco go good with my 78 f-150?

Not quite sure what you mean by that, but the most active classifieds for EB parts is classicbroncos.com.
ok thanks for the help guys. Now i just need to decide what i want to do. lately i've been thinking about just building a jeep cause parts are easier to find and a little bit cheaper for them. but I don't know would still like a bronco though.
sorry I really want a bronco but buying one off somebody isn't in my budget right now. and I don't think building one will be either even though I would really like to build one from the frame up I think it would be fun and give me something to do in the winter when i don't want to be outside. what do you guys think I should do? should I just start to build one as I have the extra money to do it?

Wish I could answer that directly...if you have the $, space and time. I don't have either and esp. the cash (it would take multiple yrs. considering my skill, knowledge, equipment, funds). A "project vehicle" is a horse of a different color. What I did was get 1 when cheep/unwanted (before the national interest was there) use it for income (not much, lol). And pour that money back into the rig when ever I could coax a REAL mechanic to touch it (the latter - very difficult and time consuming). When not, I stumbled and fumbled on my own (1 reason I got "the simple bronk" in the 1st place).
If you have the original 3 resources listed above then you need a solid 'end goal' (that alone may take some good planning and alota of research). You gotta figure out the application, how you'll get there (in terms of use of end goal - what equipment/mod/components you'll need) and the sequence of operations to assemble that end goal. It is pretty important to stay w/that end goal as U build because haphazard changes ("ooo, I gotta do THAT") can throw off other items in the end goal (in other fields they call it 'vision') because a vehicle needs to B thought of as a system (i.e. can't 'throw in a cam' on a whim for some benefit w/o changin other engine components; same w/suspension or tranny etc).
I've learned that everything automotive is application, application, application. And a measure of personal taste. Can't understand the bronk as a daily driver (u sit in it as if ur @ ur kitchen table) but have used it as such when the wolwo blew up. Can't use it as a rec vehicle - breakin U-joints and twistin axles is not in my budget. So again, can't answer a Q you may need 2 answer 4 yerself...
Pardon my long missive. Hope it headed in the right direction,
Keep talkin @ us.
BTW: Y not get started on the research now, won't hirt, needs to B done anyway. Today it's a lill easier w/the net. Visit ALL the sites, hang back a bit till U know the right Qs to ask, C how 'the expirts' do it.
I realize you would like to build one new including frame, but there are "some"legal hassles in doing so if you plan on registering. You can get a solid frame and title for under $500. For under $1500 you can find a complete or nearly complete Bronco, non-running. The last two I have done, I paid $800 for one and $1200 for the second. It just takes patient shopping. While expensive to restore, they are still bring more than Heep's when done. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
okay thanks for the help guys. I will do some thinking and start doing the research. cause I need to get my 1978 f-150 done and painted first before I can start another project anyway. and I would like to get me a tig welder also. I have a mig now but would like a tig also.
