Starting Trouble
When I try to start my 95 Ranger, I can hear the start turning over but it takes a while to crank up. Sometimes while I am starting I lose power and I have to shut the ignition off, wait a few seconds and try again. Then it will start. Is this my battery, starter, or alternator?

Starting Trouble
I'ts a little bit hard to follow the description of your problem.
(1) Does the starter actually try and turn the motor over the entire time you are trying to start it?
(2) When you say sometimes it "loses power", do you mean that the starter slows down and seems to lose the strength necessary to turn the motor over?
(3) Do you notice any other power-related problems that a weak battery might be causing?
(4) Have you checked all the wires to and from the battery, solenoid, starter, etc., for lose or corroded connections?
