i kept quiet through all of this because all of my questions were answered. i had an issue with a girl i dated years ago because of the HOA, i couldent park in the neighbourhood because of my ladder rack, and tool boxes. it was an f250. it looked like a service truck and they didnt like it.

You better paint that plow or that will be one more thing they will bitch about lol, that thing defintely looks like a work truck. But its not and not commercially tagged and not registered as a 1ton so screwem, I hate stupid rules! Its not even a beat up ugly truck. It looks good! Good luck

Dawg, one thing they may pitch a fit about is how far your contraption is sticking out. I would cut down that receiver section and the section going forward down some. With your bumper, you could prob. do it so it's not sticking out beyond the bumper at all. Or you could stick a red reflector or some red/white diag-stripe reflective tape on it. But the more "stealth" (tuck it in tighter) approach might be better.

Sorry! I am also telling/crying the story in the MD room too. So far so good!
I have seen the tow truck in and out of our community and no problems at all. There is another 350 with a drop in tool box and he isn't being fudged with either. It is actually working out very well as part of my morning routine. I go out and turn the truck "ON" (for glow plugs) and by the time I clean up my contraption the glow plugs are ready to fire.
I won't be there to much longer. The VA inspects my "new house" today, tomorrow we call BG&E to get the power in our name and Thursday we close (finaly). So about 2 more weeks of games.
I will keep you all up to date if anything happens or when I slip out and put this thing to rest.

Pull an old junker van with a receiver out of the junkyard, back it into your former parking space and hook your contraption up to it and just leave it there. Spray-paint the circle-slash-HOA symbol on one side of the van, and a graffiti drawing of Bart Simpson saying "So long, suckERRRRRZZZZZ!!" on the other.
