I have an 1988 f-250 with a fuel injected 460. I have changed the spark plugs. They were fouled out. I cleaned them first and put them back in. They fouled out again so I put new ones in. They fouled out too. When I cleaned the first ones the truck quit smoking. When I put new ones it also quit smoking. The smoke is fuel. My guess is fuel injectors. I also replaced the fuel regulator. No change. Have replaced the pump and lines. Can anyone help?
Can you describe the plug fouling? Snap a quick pic of the plugs ? When I replace BAD* plugs ( this may be a lil retentive) but I grab a piece of card board and poke 8 holes. Then pull them putting them in the hole it came out of the motor from. When your done you have a good picture of how the old mill is churning inside. Keeps things in order so you know whats going on and where in the block. Smoke + 8 bad plugs does not add up to 1 injector. I'd be looking in another direction.
