I just purchased a really cherry 2000 coachman motorhome on a E-350 chassis. I went from a 2004 lariot 3/4 ton with truck camper to this. The lariot had everything except a dishwasher but this has only steering brakes and cruise. NOW--it has no tachometer!! That's what I use more than the speedo.
I purchased a small electric tach from Summit which the salesman said has to have an adapter ($69) to hook to the mutiple coil packs. I've looked thru all the tech articles -nothing on installing a tach on a 2000 5.4 V8 E-350. The directions are as detailed as a blank page.
I'm very leary of messing with any of the electronics -- unless I can see a definite procedure.
The engine has only 15000 miles on it and runs excellent --I'm even hesitant as to taking it to a garage or RV dealer.
Can someone direct me to a site or tech guide for this year engine??
