I`ve got my supply of Depends all ready to go for the ride! How`s that sweet 65 Mustang doing?
That could very well be Glen. I think I gave John 2 -460`s but I`m not sure what was what since I had afew laying around here.

Yeah it was a rebuilt 460. So the engine was tight. I pulled the radiator out to replace the one in my 78 truck at the time. Thus draining the coolant. Over the winter sitting outside with newer tight rings it seized up.
I put diesel in the cylinders and and other knock her loose stuff and she would not budge.
I was told the rings probally stuck to cylinder walls from no coolant.

I wastold with the engine all new parts are fitting tighter. If sitting outside in the elements without any oil in the cyl. after draining the coolant. It will seize due to everything fit tighter. It gives frost a chance to create rust on the rings and valves, thus causing them to seize.
Engines with some milage. Have wear in them and less likely to seize.
