What kind of covers are you guys considering for the 5.5 bed. I put too many valuable items in the bed, so I have to make a decision soon.
Welcome to FTE sir!
Check this out: The cover is made by Peragon. It locks, it folds like an accordion in the bed, my bed is dry and I've increased my daily gas mileage my 1 mile per gallon on average.
You can't go wrong with a TruXedo. I've had them on a couple of different trucks with no problems at all. Never had a bed cover actually increase mileage on any of my trucks. Myth busters didn't get any gains either. Not disputing your experience Tim, just never seen it actually happen.

If I can answer any questions about our Peragon truck bed cover, I'd be happy to help. Since you're hauling valuable cargo, our key lockable, solid aluminum cover could be a good option for you. We offer security and the flexibility to haul larger cargo - thanks to our retractable design. With the $40 discount we're offering to FTE members through 11-27-11, you can get into our product for not that much more than a vinyl tarp. A good place to start is the video on our web site.

My '10 XLT Screw has a BakFlip F1. It has been on for almost 1 year and has performed very well so far. The BakFlip F1 is as secure as many bed covers and has kept the contents dry in the few rains we've had and while going through automatic car wash systems. The BakFlip can be installed in 20 minutes and can be removed in 5 minutes. One of the features I like the most is that it is almost completely flush mounted with the bed-sides.
^^^^ That is a very nice looking cover and a drop dead beautiful truck sir.
Thank you Tim. I couldn't afford the model I wanted so I cloned a Lariat at least from the outside. It still looks a little odd without the factory fender flares.

And I forgot to mention, thank you for your service.
