wastegate...

Will I get any performance gains by adjusting the rod length on the wastegate? I figure while the turbo is out I may as well tweak what I can on it. Can't wait to hear the wicked wheel whistle!!

Take the foil off the charge pipe, makes it a little louder.. Doesn't whistle that much more with a ww but you'll notice it.

The foil has been gone off both of my IC pipes for a couple of years now and with the AFE stge 2 intake you have no problem hearing the whistle! But I love the sound, can't whistle too much for me, I got the WW to stop the turbo surge though and am just hoping I'll get some more whistle from it. So there's no benifit to adjusting the wastegate rod? Ok then, one less thing to do. Should have everything back together by this time tomorrow, been missing my Ford the last two weeks!

The advantage will be causing the boost to begin bleeding off at slightly higher pressure, most like to set it around 12lbs to start bleeding off, stock usually it is around 5psi when it starts to open. Noticed quicker throttle response and spool up.
