Steak dinner for Excursion test drive

Hey all,

I am from the SoCal chapter and was told someone here might be able to help me out. I am looking at buying a used Excursion but live in Ca. I am trying to arrange for the local Jordan Ford dealer in Live Oak (Universal City), TX to do a 100 point inspection and Oasis report. I'm a hands on kinda guy and am struggling with not wanting to miss out but also not wanting to jump in blind and buy a truck without seeing it first.

I respect the camaraderie on FTE and trust an honest opinion more than a salesman's quick tongue. If there is anyone that is willing to do an honest evaluation of a vehicle and test drive I would be happy to send him/her to a steak dinner. I'd hate to fly out or worst drive the whole family out over 5 days for something that is not worth it.

Best Regards, Eli

I might be driving out Monday night to see it with the whole family. Hope someone would be able to see it before 5pm (10-17-11) to let me know if its worth a drive out there.

I know it's risky to put it out there in case someone here is a sniper and swoops in, but its at:
Northeast Motor Company
2402 Pat Booker Rd.
Universal City, TX 78148
Ph: 210-658-6296

If you are willing to go and check it out, I have been talking with Clint there. He should still have my number if you can go by and look at it and give me a call. I promise a dinner for your trouble.

It took care of itself in a way.

They could not get the engine started the day they were supposed to have the local Ford dealer do a full inspection on it.

Checked and it is still there. Might still be interested if it runs and checks out okay.

Well I'm back in I think.

It is running fine they say. I would let it go but I'm stuck since it has everything I have been looking for, for the last 5 years.

If this works out my 2000 Ex, 7.3, 4x4, 39" tires will be up for sale.
