You guys that say yours didn't work are probably wrong because, if you don't run your truck off road the air filter will probably fall apart before it pulls on the resriction indicater. My lowboy truck has had the same air filter in it for 175,000 miles. On the other hand my tandem dumptruck does a lot off on site work will start to pull on it 10k to 20k miles
x2 - I never saw the one on my truck move at home, but we see the same guage creep up in our pre-starts at work. Driving the landcruisers underground would be like driving a really dusty bush road for 8 hours a day. They take 2 or 3 months to start choking up.

lol... nope. That one's a spare, part of the kit I'm trading! I've got the K&N setup that came from Banks. I wish it had a filter minder though, seeing as its a "clean your own" type!
Thanks again everyone!
Like I said in my OP, this was just for giggles more than function. I tend to change my air filters early on all my vehicles more than necessary since it's cheap and easy maintenance.

Well, the whole point of installing one of these gauges is to tell you when you actually NEED to change the filter, which as others have pointed out, is actually not very often unless you are always driving in dusty conditions. I've gotten over 100K miles on the same filter element in some of my cars. The auto service industry's highest profit activity is air filter changes.
