I was wondering if anyone had a source for a part I am having difficulty finding. it may be because I have not been calling it the correct part. I will describe it and hopefully some one will know where you purchase one. I have a 1964 F100 with a 223 six. There is a small oil leak and I am working to replace the front seal I have removed what I would call a harmonic balancer the 64 shop manual call it a Crank shaft damper. The part looks like a belt pulley attached to another ring with the timing marks on it. There a rubber grommet in-between that seams to be very old. I think this damper is sold as one assembly. The parts do not rotate so the rubber is still working but I wanted to replace it while I have it apart. I have call LMC, NPD and Dorman’s they don’t have anything like this for a 64 ford 223. I guess the first question I need help with is how do you tell if it needs to be replaced and if it does any one know a source for purchase or repair if that is possible

I think this damper is sold as a one piece assembly. I have called LMC, NPD and Dorman's, they don't have anything like this for a 64 Ford 223.
I had to retype your post, because it's very difficult to read. I eliminated all the details that are not pertinent.
At the factory, a rubber gasket is placed between the inner damper and outer pulley, then all three parts are pressed together forming a one piece assembly.
Over time, the gasket age cracks, shrinks...causing the outer pulley to begin "walking away" from the inner damper.
When this occurres, if not noticed in time, the pulley will separate from the damper...taking assorted belts and etc along with it. May end up in the radiator core. Not Pleasant!
C4TZ-6312-E .. Harmonic Balancer-Single Sheave / Marked: C4TE-6316-F or C4TE-6316-G / Obsolete / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Applications: 1964 F100/600 223 I-6 (1961/63 F100/600 & Passenger Car 223 is not the same [C3AZ-6312-C], no one has any regardless / 1961/64 F100/600 262 I-6 is not the same).
There are several different companies that can repair your balancer, I cannot recall their names. Hopefully others will chime in that will know.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy an aftermarket balancer from say a place like Summit or a local speed shop. I would think that after you package up and send that boat anchor to them, have them rebuild it, and send it back, it might cost you more than just buying a new one. Maybe not. I haven't checked out their website yet so maybe it's cost-effective. I know shipping has gotten way other hand.

None of these are correct. I have Dearborn Classics paper parts catalog, looked in it before I typed post #2.
1961/64 223 Passenger Car & 1961/63 223 F100/600 use the same balancer (C3AZ-6312-C).
The 1964 F100/600 223 balancer (C4TZ-6312-E) is one year only.
Yup spank me spank you. I guess I shouldnt post these up at night when Im tired. Just assumed it was a V8 didnt read his first post close enough. I stand corrected. Or maybe it was yesterday AM before I had enough coffee.
