Stay away from K&N. They only use 2 layers of oiled cotton. The better units of the same type use up to 7 layers for better filtration.

Do the 6637 mod. It's cheap and safe. With the money you save, you can get a 4" turbo back exhaust.

Cold air is just that. It is air that is drawn form outside the engine compartment.

Ram air is drawn through a scoop or other inlet exposed to positive pressure generated by the forward movement of the vehicle.

there is no need for a cold air intake the air is heated in the turbo when it is compressed that is why there is a IC to cool it down.

I have a dp tuner as well and am very happy. I have no start, stock, drive thru won't recomend it if you have a 4" or bigger exhaust, 60 tow, 80 econ, 120 race, and 140 extreme. Even the 80 econ tune is a huge power boost. Go with no start, tow and 80 econ if you can't afford to much.

dp tuner and the isspro gauge kit from clay at riffraff im sure several with agree with me on this, i was in ur shoes once (the new guy) and this is were they led me and i built my tune for $450 but you can add/remove tunes at any time just send it back they fix it up the way you want it then they send it back, i was on a money budget as well i still dont have my gauges or tuner i could have my tuner but i love my truck and im gonna do it all right the first time with no major money spending to ur motor because slapping a big tuner on it with out proper parts will make several problems and possibley ruining that beautifull 7.3 under your hood in the long run, so goodluck :-)
