Thanks powerstroke, and thanks also for your help before (Chrome Carbook link).
I will post pictures as soon as I get the truck. Hopefully in December. I can't wait! Now that I signed & placed the order, I am even more anxious.

Question: why did you not go for the max trailer tow package?

EcoBoost is required for MAX Trailer Tow. Tow rating is still 2000 lbs higher than I'll be towing.

Makes sense, thanks!
What I love about the max tow package are the mirrors that pull out for travel trailer towing. These aftermarket attachments are such a pain in the rear.

I plan on upgrading to the Tow mirrors. The can be found pretty reasonable. Here's one place. Ford F150 Truck Mirror - AM Autoparts

Cool! Sounds like a plan!
Those mirrors are a must when towing a TT. What are you towing?

Wow, nice trailer! Now I see your need for the HD payload package!

I hope the OP doesn't mind us hijacking his thread like this.

My dealer gave me copy of the "order receipt acknowledment" from Ford. That's what it says on the top of the page.

Yeah, I think that's what they call "DORA". VIN would be the next step, and then with that you can pull your window sticker.

Hmmm, it lets you select the HD payload package with the screw 6.5 bed, but shows the max payload as 1,890lbs.
Sounds like they need to do some tweaking ....

And incentives are $500 for financing, LOL.

Are dealers taking orders on 2012 F-150s??
A dealer i stopped at today said they have so many (Over half or around that of all f-150 in the state of South Dakota) they are not really going to get any f-150s in..........is he blowing smoke?
I am looking for a FX4 screw with an ECO-BOOST. But i test drove a FX4 with the 5.0
Also he said that "ford only SO many ECO-BOOST will be made.....blowing smoke or...........??

thanks guys
