What is a Ranger bed worth?

I am back in a Ford, I got a 2000 Ranger with a flatbed for lawn maintenance. It came with the bed (stepside) which I have no use for and want to sell. I was wondering if yall could help me I need to figure out a couple things
1. What model year rangers will it fit on?
and
2.What is a reasonable ballpark price I should ask for it?
It's white, I have the tailgate also and a drop-in bedliner. it's in good condition with a few scratches.

A good price retail would be +/- $2000. Look up equivalent beds and bed liners in your area on car-part.com The cheapest one they listed was around $1000 without a bed liner. Some of their listed parts have minor damage or no tail gate. I think all Ranger flare side beds are interchangeable, since they only made one mold and kept using it over and over.

that's nuts, I only gave $3,500 for the whole truck! I'll throw it online for that, let it sit a while, and see if anyone bites. I might see if I can't advertise it to some local body shops.

with all do respect I think $2,000 is crazy.........I am not positive about the stepside beds but the reguler beds I know are the same from 1993-2010..........in the past I have seen beds on CL for as little as $200. A quick look at CL and I found this 1996 Ford Ranger ext cab 4X4

WOW! $2000....I just sold a stepside bed from my ranger and got $250 out of it from the $350 asking price. I paid $600 for it roughly 6 years ago. I got "t" boned in my 92 and had put a newer bed on it to see what it looked like.

If you do sell it and if you still have the original rear bumper I would offer that too if someone asks. The stepside bumpers are not as big as the fleet side beds. It may be a selling point for you.

You can get a new one for $2800.

But looking up a new one I found it listed the same bed for 98 thru 05 if that helps.

I don't know if you saw the first part, but he said "retail" value would be $2000. That's fresh off the assembly line.

In my opinion, I think a good starting asking price would be around $700 - 800 (depending on it's condition... "like new" would be up towards the 800 mark), with of course "obo". If you can get $400 for it, you'd be making out good. It's all about finding the right buyer at the right time, sometimes you have to be a little patient, especially when it comes to items people don't purchase very often.

I noticed the word "retail" before I commented..........I guess we could debate the word retail........go to the nada site and they will list the "retail" price of a "used" car...............the bottom line is that I see them on CL all the time for less than $500. For that matter I see used Rangers on CL for $500 every other week........you could bring any of these to a body guy and he would clean it up and paint to match your truck for less than $500..................you then would have a mint bed for less than then $1000...............I just like * to keep it real for the less exprienced members......

I was not disagreeing with you at all... If you took it as if I was challeging or questioning your knowlegde/experience about this particular situation, then you misinterpreted my intention. I don't know how to take your last post. Whether it be sincere or whatever, I was just adding my 2 cents to make it more clear to the originator. So, you can now sit up on your high horse and keep lying to the "less experienced members."

Hahaha, wow I feel like an ***. Let me publicly appoligize to you for that. Wow, funny how one letter can throw off a whole paragraph.

*Edit: Also sorry for all of the posts below. Tried posting with my phone and I thought it wasn't working, but apparently it was, so I posted the same thing like 20 times. I changed all of it to "post removed" because I couldn't delete it. Maybe a mod can.
