My truck has been down for a while and I can't seem to figure it out. Iv changed cps, ipr, idm, filled hpop, checked hpop pressure. Injectors won't fire I can't even get any smoke
Yeah, sorry, That's 2 plus hours from me as well.... that's on heck of a wind farm you guys have got over there! I drove through that area a couple months ago on 30 and was absolutely blown away at the number of wind turbines.
Anyway, (back on topic) about those codes.... or a link to the old thread....We will help you if we can.
Ya there are several more here now. They go up by twos daily. Here is a recap: truck died while driving, cps code came up. New cps started it 2to times and then nothing. While it was running. Injector pressure higher or lower than desired, so I put in a new ipr. Still nothing. I got an idm from a running motor but still will not fire. Hpop got drained from doing the ipr so I topped it off. No burnt wires on harness or anything. I have no smoke from the exhaust either
no smoke eh? is it getting any fuel at all? whats the fuel pressure? have you changed the fuel filter recently? is it in correctly? it needs to be installed right or you will not get any fuel past it. only reason i ask is my cps and fuel pump failed at the same time once. and i had to be schooled on the fuel system on these beasts. good luck with it.
also, how much fuel is in it? i have heard the fuel pickup tube can break on our trucks which depending on where the pickup breaks you will run out of fuel and still read plenty on the fuel gauge.
