overhead storage shelf

i know it seems like i always ask y'all about the craziest ideas, but do any of you know the best way to go about building an overhead storage shelf for an 82 f150? id just buy one, but i dont have the money, and id kinda like to make my own, the ones that are mass produced mount into the sun visor screw holes, thats what i planned on doin, i wwas thinking of usiing some kind of wood, because i dont have a welder or really any way to work with metal, any advice, designs or anything will be appreciated, if you have any designs, please give me as much details as possible.

I saw one made of wood once and it looked very good, but the man that built it was a master carpenter and knew his business. Are you real good with wood? If so give it a try. If it look's crappy you can alway's tear it out and start over or wished that you'da just bought one
