Instrument panel shutdown
Driving home Friday afternoon, completely out of the blue, my instrument panel gauges all pegged to their maximums and then went to zero. The radio also shut off. The engine continued to run fine and after a second or two, the gauges returned to normal and the radio turned back on.
Less than 15 minutes later, it happened again, but everything stayed off a bit longer this time, maybe 10 seconds or so.
I didn't notice, but passenger stated the climate control stayed on thru both events.
Drove an additional 80 minutes home with no additional incidents. Drove 2+ hours today with no incidents. Truck is '02 Excursion with 211K miles and no previous incidents like this.
