new guy has questions

So i bought the hpx mode from riffraff and was talking to him about a remote oil cooler. i told him how hot i was getting on my oil temps and he said that my truck does not have oil temp readings. It may be false readings so i have a edge cs chip and it tells me the temp from the pcm so do any of you guys know if this is true or not

I don't know anything about a edge cs chip but I have both the mechanical gauge and a scan gauge and both say about the same thing. The scan gauge gets its reading from the PCM. The other gauge is plumbed into my oil bypass filter system.

Possible bad sensor as well. Easiest way to check is use an IR gun and see what your reservoir temp is. That will get you close.
