170k on the 93 f250 4x4... needed brakes and had some bad front end shake
decided to do some major work - ball joints, tie rod ends, draglink, spindle bearings/seals, axle ujoints, 3rd member axle seals, pinion seal, wheel bearings, brakes.
on top of all that had to drop a grand on tires before trying an alignment (it was bad after all that - positive camber and bad toe)
bad news...they told me can't align due to shot bushings (axle pivot, leaf spring, and shackle)
so I replaced all those and checked axle pivot mounts as well - replaced shocks and sway bar bushings too (end link also)
taking it back in tomorrow for alignment - but it looks worse after the bushings - now negative camber parked and huge positive camber if parked after reverse (way worse than before).
if the alignment is still a no go I'm kind of at a loss as to what else to do...just about everything is new.
Springs is about the only thing left? Anyone happen to have a spring to bumpstop measurement or maybe ground to fender measurement (235/85/16s) so I could gauge my spring condition?
shop was able to align it - even though the camber was worse than before bushing change - so I guess all is well! going to take some getting used to driving - lots different than all the 170K worn out stuff.
