Hesitation when driving

First of all this is a great site you all help me with a problem I had before so I’m coming to you guys for some more help. Wondering if anyone could help I have a 2003 B2300 Mazda. I have now fixed the Codes that I had they were P0455, P0457 and P2004. P0455 and 457 where fixed by a new gas cap and P2004 was fixed by getting a new hose for the vacuum solenoid that under the intake manifold. After that I cleared all the codes. The problem I have is that I have used Sea Foam in the gas and I still have a hesitation when I press the gas pedal. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Any help would be great.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Welcome to FTE.

Do you have any more trouble codes????, like one for the TPS, or MAF sensor????
After the repairs, did you disconnect the battery B- cable to wipe the corrupted KAM fuel trim tables from the gross vacuum leak, so the computer could begin to build new fuel trim tables???? After that did you go through the cold & warm idle strategy relearn proceedure???? Is fuel pressure & flow rate in spec????

I have no Trouble codes at all. I didnt disconnect the battery i thought that using a scan tool would clear all that. I will try that and go from there. is the cold and warm Strategy just a matter of letting it warm up to it normal running temp.

Thanks For the Help

Clearing the trouble codes with a scan tool just wipes the codes, imo you need to wipe the corrupt KAM long term fuel trim tables by disconnecting the battery B- cable for 15 min or so, or opening a door, or turning some lights on to discharge/wipe the KAM, which will wipe the learned, old/corrupt/out of balance, long term fuel trim tables that were built during the vacuum leak, so the computer will know repairs have been made & it can begin to build new long term fuel trim tables.

Then reattach the B- cable & with the engine cold, at least go through the cold & warm idle relearn proceedure outlined here. Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - high idle problem

If no joy after all that, have a look at the TPS & MAF sensor PID outputs to the computer & the computers REF voltages supplied to those sensors.

Maybe also have a look at the PCV vlave & it's hoses for vacuum leaks, or the valve being clogged up & sticking, or not sealing well if it's way past due for replacement, as if it's acting out, it can mess with the air/fuel ratio as it's calculated for bypass/vacuum leak isn't being measured by the MAF sensor. Just rattling when we shake it doesn't count as a full test, as that just means it isn't clogged up, doesn't test how well it seals, or how strong the spring inside still is to make that seal!!!!!

A bunch more thoughts for consideration. Let us know what you find.
