I have a 1995 F-350 PSD. I have purchased a canopy for it that has a third brake light. Is there an easy way to wire in the third brake light without a logic circuit converter, etc.? I've read that some newer F series already have a spare wire in the rear harness for this purpose. How about a 1995? Thanks in advance for your help with this.
I would just splice into the brake light wires & run them up through the stake pocket to the HMSL. Put spade connectors right inside the bed so if you want to take the top of you can unplug the light.
Thanks for your reply. The problem with just splicing into the brake light wire is that this model year, and I think all ford F series for many years, uses the same lamp for the brake light and the turn signal. If you splice into the brake light / turn signal wire then the third brake light flashes when the turn signal is on.
That's right. At one time mine had a topper with the HMSL, it was wired up under the hood. Mine is a F-150, but it shouldn't be much different, I'll get a pic. of where it was wired into.
