If you look at the bed you will know they are 1 tons it is 8' long and taller, wider then the 6' on a 1/2 ton look at the bottom of the bed it is solid and doesn't have the add on piece like the 1/2 ton on the front lower half of the bed not to mention the huge wheel openings for the 17" split wheels! They are very nice trucks I couldn't find any 1 tons for parts or even hole truck around here I looked for 3 years so good job finding those!

Sounds like you got your second wind. Keep after it - you will get there and have something nice to show for it.

I knew there was something different about the beds, just couldn't put my finger on it! We learn something new everyday!

Hey Max,

Good luck on your projects. You've got a couple good trucks there to work from. Make sure you let us know how it goes.

Good luck finding body parts, I redone one 10 plus years ago and had trouble finding them then. Rear fenders are tough to find and you wont be happy with fiberglass, best to work with what you got, cant imagine finding wheels now either. I might be wrong but a 48 tailgate you can get new and it is real close to a 47. only my $.02
