Hey guys, the abs and brake light are still lighting up on my dash. I am confused why as I have done just about everything I can think of. Here is what I have done and open to suggestions.
1) Replaced vacuum pump
2) Replaced vacuum tree
3) Replaced vacuum switch/sensor (on wheel well)
4) Replaced master cylinder and brake boost.
(Prior to this my brakes would lock up - work great after the replacement)
5) I have a hissing noise coming from my a/c unit in the cab
(selector **** for vent, ac, defrost etc.. I replaced the back piece that mounts on the head piece. I still have a hiss but it is only on max a/c. The hiss prior to the replacement was on a/c and max - which would send air from the vents to defrost - this does not happen since I replaced that piece.)
So here is the problem, I still have a hiss inside the cab where the a/c head is, but only when the selector is on max a/c. Also, I crank the truck and run down the road. After a while of running, the e.r. brake and abs light come on.
Confused needless to say. Thinking about replacing all my vacuum lines tomorrow.
This worked for me take the hose off the pump and hook a air hose to with very little psi running trough it and hunt down the leak spray all the lines with soapy water

I kept patching up my vacuum lines with electric tape because Auto-Zone did not carry replacements. Recently I went to a u-pull lot in PA, and got some better condition ones. Now that I replaced the bad ones under the dash, there is a hissing coming from the vent control switch when it is in the OFF position. Everything is working as it should, but I obviously have a vacuum leak somewhere.
Before I go pulling off the whole dash to get to the control switch, any other advice?
I have a hissing in mine and found culprit was underhood on actuator for outside air vent ,the line to actuator is rotted clean away so I need to scrounge up some tubing, I think that is only operated when in max ac in recirc mode?
