Temperature Gauge Sending Unit
Just bought a 1989 f150 straight 6cyl., 5spd. The temp gauge on the dash doesnt seem to be working. Does anyone have any idea where the sending unit is...I've looked for over an hour. If I find it is it an easy replace???? Do I turn counter clockwise to remove.
I'm really liking this old truck.

Hmm.. there are two and I cannot remember which is which. There is one that goes into the thermostat housing.. The other one is in the block I believe.. On the driver side. I think... Not 100% positive, but it can give you an idea of where to look.

Ok...I've looked on drivers side of the block. I didn't find the temp unit but i believe I found the oil sending unit which is by the oil filter.
Anyone else have any idea where the temp unit may be?
