hello all,
I just got an 89 f150 xlt lariat,it has the straight six, 3 speed auto and step bumper. I think the original owner speced it out for hauling (laods in the bed, because it doesnt have a factory tow bar) but i cant tell, mainly because all the manual says is that they are good things to have for towing, and nothing about id'ing them. so my question is this:how can I tell if I have the super cooling and super handling packages on my truck?
any help would be very appreciated, thanks

look at the rear leaf springs
see if you have an add a leaf in there
also see if you have a tranny cooler on the front of the rad
mine has the towing package and the only difference on mine is 4 shocks in the front and an extra leaf spring

ya i do have the extra cooling, but i dont know how many leaves the add a leaf would take it up to, i havent been around trucks much and i just want to be sure about its capabilities before i do anythign. another question is, do all the trucks have coil wrapped shocks out back, or am i not paying enough attention
