When you look at the very beginning of the video you see a 60s ford truck not sure on the year maybe a '65 or '66? Did any of these trucks come with these grilles or was it just for the commercial?
I think that was a custom grill in a 65-66. It was a shame to destroy it. I would suggest posting a frame of anything like that in the future. Posting a Cheby destroying Fords is likely to make some people less than happy.
Its sad to see them fix and prep these trucks just to do that to them..
this video made me smile, its just so cheesy and only cheby could come up with something like this.
Note: only thing cheby on that monster truck is the shell and that's a fiberglass shell made to look like there truck. Everything else is custom or aftermarket.
Well Cheby cannot honestly compare the merits of their POS trucks to the Merits of The FORD! ALL that they can do, is show a specially prepared POS in a gimmick or is that GMC format! After all plastic beds.... compared to Steel! NO CONTEST! Take a hammer to a GMC or Cheby Bedside will it dent or poke a hole! I would much rather repair a dent , than a hole! I have no problem with this being posted.... it keeps us aware of the BS that the Chubby err uhh Cheby guys are willing to spread... Kind of reminds ya of Democrats doesn't it? I noticed one other thing... Why didn't they compare the Corvette to the Cobra, or the GT40? Hmmm which US company defeated Ferrari for teh manufacturers cup 2 years in a row...Cobra in 1964 GT40 in 1965... has Chevy or Dodge ever done that? Nope!
I love ford trucks just as much as anyone else on here. I came across this video trolling youtube and I could care less what it is about. What caught my eyes was the grille on the truck. Ive never seen a grille like this on a slick.
I would say that is a tube grille added to the truck. Looking at the way the tubes separate as a unit from the rest of the grill as it is crushed. Leave it to chevy to have to show their truck that is twenty years newer and highly modified is better than a plain old sixties model ford. Unless they consider the modded grill to be the equivalent to the monster truck.

No worries, Thickster. I got the point of your post inquiring about the grill in the slick. I think it's the title of the video that's initially most offensive but when you watch it you see what a joke it is. Sure they totalled a couple of cool old Ford trucks with that BigFoot wannabe but the rest of the video was filled with some of the ugliest, most boring Chevies ever built, except for the '63 Impala and '61 Biscayne. The rest of it is a total embarrassment for Chevrolet in my opinion.
