Front hitch F250 SD Lariat

Hello out there. You all have been very helpful in the past so I thought I would try again. Is there a front hitch for my truck that will not require permanently removing the tow hooks and/or the fog lights. Thanks. Raleigh Sanford.

Depending on your year have a look at the Warn front receivers. I believe you can keep you factory fogs with those ones.

Curt Manufacturing makes two models, one that uses 8 bolts and goes between the bumper and the frame, tow hooks and fog lights preserved. The other model goes between the leaf spring mounts and the frame and replaces the blocker bar if your truck has one, this one conflicts with the fog lights. I am going to install the 31114 model. $~170 on amazon.

that 31114 looks like it bolts to the end of the frame horns? wouldnt it be better to have one that bolted inbetween the frame rails?

I think that the 31114 looks stronger than the 31014. Both are going to hold a winch/bike rack/cargo rack/push bar/spare tire just about the same.

Nearly all of them are rated for 500lbs carry and 9000lbs direct pull.

It might be stronger, but it will require the removal of the fog lights, which the OP didn't want.

I have the 31114 because mine is a 2004 and the other one won't fit. And I don't have fog lights anyway. I have drug the truck with all 4 wheels locked along the ground with it and it held up. They are pretty handy.

Thanks for all the replies. So the consensus is that the 31014 will fit without having to lose the tow hooks or fog lights. If that is the case, that is what I will go with. Even though it is a little lighter duty, it will serve my purposes for an occasional bike rack or light luggage rack.
