Roadmaster Active Suspension?
Roadmaster Active Suspension?
Has anyone installed these on the 2011? I'm having some minor sway and what I believe to be axle wrap when towing the toy hauler and wondering if these may do the trick.
Wow!! I'm surprised to hear that you have some sway with a brand new truck-a F350 at that.
I have a '99 F350 dually and I don't think that the Roadmaster kit will fit-yours may be different espessely if its a SRW truck.
I had the Roadmaster kit on my old '94 F150 and it was great when loaded but sat about 2" higher than stock when empty even after trying different adjustments.
The Roadmaster kit was (I believe) originally made for extended wheelbase E350s that are used by churches and schools and are loaded pretty much all the time, they would be fine if you are loaded all the time.
I rather think if you are having sway problems that possibly the trailer is too heavy for your truck or would suggest using an air ride type system over trying the Roadmaster kit.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have run the Firestone Airride system in my 1/2 tons but was hoping I wouldn't need them with the F350. My 5th wheel is a triple axle trailer weighing in at 14,200 #'s so I really didn't expect to run into these issues but have a sneaky suspicion they have lightened up the suspension a little to get the amazing 1 ton ride they are offering in the 2011.
The axle wrap is manageable if you take it easy off the line....I don't expect to drag race with the 5th wheel but figured if I could use this product to enhance the performance what the hell.
I was hoping to get feedback from someone that actually installed these on the 2011 because the tech sheets say you have to take your helper spring out. I am having a tough time wrapping my brain around doing that and replacing it with this product since I just barely sit on the helper spring with my 5er hooked up.

Kelderman also makes a heavy duty sway-bar mount for this truck replacing the wimpy Ford mount.
Roadmaster suspension
I added to my 2011 250 and it seems to help raise the box by 1"-2" when loaded with my 11K 5th wheel. It also helps with wheel hop in loose sand etc., other than that you do not know its there.
