I got a "less than half full message", towed my fiver for another 50 mi and had to stop for fuel. I had 2.5 gal with me and started to fill the def tank. With about 1" left in the container it spit up all over me and the truck. Spent the next 15min washing the area around the fuel door. Now, that was head scratchin frustration.
...My dealer told me he had the Motorcraft brand for $22 a gal.
That's more than double what most other Ford dealers sell it for per gallon (unless he meant the 2-1/2 gallon size), and four times what most other suppliers sell their brands for.

At the message "at less than 1/2 full" I'll through in a gallon maybe. I bought about 30-35 gallons way back when I saw the value of the dollar starting to decline, I knew price increases were coming and they came and I still got it cheaper than WalMart sells it for today.
I always carry a gallon jug in the back of the truck though, so out on the road and/or pulling my 5th wheel I don't care about below half message. I'm usually not more than 500 miles from home, or the closet Walmart/O'reilly's or wherever, should I get the message 800 miles to empty.
