tire question

i have a 1981 f 150. i am going to lift it 6 inches. i was wondering if a 37x12.50x15 would fit without rubbing like crazy? if not, how much more will i have to go? i will be using 15x10 rims.

tire question

36 x 14.5 r 15 is the biggest the ntw chart shows for a 81 f150 4x4 with a 6'' lift, with a side note of, Boggers and Thornbirds will rub radius arms on full turns.

BTW they do need the 15x10 rims like you said you'd use.

Hope that helps!

tire question

Look at my pictures, I have 6" on my '81 with 35x12.5 Thornbirds (on 8" rims). The tire actually only measures about 33.5 inches tall, so it depends on how tall that tire really is. I haven't ever rubbed a tire on my fender, but with 37's I bet you would.

Good Luck!
