I have a 1962 F100 with a 223 and single barrel carb. I was wondering if anyone could provide a photo and details on how the oil bath is attached to the carb. My carb is missing the screw assembly that connects them both. Any work arounds would be greatly appreciated too!
Its just bolted on. You can see a hole in the center on the top section of the filter. That is where the bolt goes on, then there is a nut that screws on that you can twist with you fingers. The bolt should come through the center of the carb and is about 6-8'' long if i remember correctly. Its pretty obvious, so if its not there you are missing it.
Thanks for your reply 63' f100! It seems that my 1904 Holley one barrel has two screw holes on opposite sides of the "throttle" instead of a normal center post as most carbs have. Thinking the bracket may have looked like a lamp shade bracket to screw down the air cleaner. Does this sound normal?
My Holley has two screw holes on either side of the carburetor body, just below the throat. Thinking the bracket may have looked like a lamp shade bracket. Correctamundo.

There is no way...none...that this adapter will work on your carburetor.
C3AZ-9B672-A .. Carburetor to Air Cleaner Mounting Bracket / Obsolete / 41 available NOS from Ford Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.
Looks just like a \_/ lamp shade bracket. Has two legs with holes in them for the two pins that retain it to the carb.
The center has a threaded hole. A threaded stud of the correct length will be required, threads into the bracket, then passes thru the air cleaner. A wing nut retains it.

This bracket and its two retaining pins were used on a gazillion 1960's I-6 Passenger Cars, F100/350's, Bronco's and Econolines.
